Great Resignation
For 7 months straight in 2021, people quit their jobs at record highs. But why? People were forced to evaluate what matters most to them, considering the pandemic. We all had to sit down and look in the mirror. No distractions, no delays—just you and me.
I have completely changed my focus in the past two years. Prior to the pandemic, I had one thing on my mind: "money, money, money." Now, I value my time and flexibility more than money. I am actively evaluating and reassessing my goals to retire with dignity at an early age. Is one better than the other? That is a personal decision we all must make.
Before you quit or resign, consider the following:
- Where do I want to be professionally or personally within the next 10 years?
- Am I financially prepared to take this risk?
- Do you have a plan to transition smoothly into your next role?
- Who will be affected by my decisions?
- How can I minimize the impact of my decisions?
- Do I have to quit or resign now?
- Am I making a permanent decision based on temporary circumstances?
- Have I considered the big picture?
Work-life balance is important, but make sure your decisions align with your long-term values, goals, and lifestyle.
Yasssss, maximizing my time with impact and influence will positively enhance my income. It doesn't work in the reverse.
